SAF (Selective Absorption Fusion) 3D printing technology works by selectively fusing a powdered material, such as polyamides or elastomers, using an industrial print head. The process involves depositing thin layers of the powder onto a build platform and then selectively applying an infrared-absorbing agent to the desired areas. A thermal printhead then delivers infrared energy, which selectively melts and fuses the powdered material, layer by layer, forming the final 3D object. This innovative approach enables high-resolution, high-throughput printing with exceptional material versatility.
