Improved energy value through the right plastic components
For over half a year, Tojos Plast has been collaborating with Skånska Byggvaror. The purpose of the project was to develop and manufacture plastic components that, when installed in aluminum conservatory profiles, provide good sealing and enhance the energy value in their various versions of conservatories.
The result was 7 different injection-molded plastic components that now contribute to saving energy in their P-marked conservatories and achieving the correct insulation value according to the marking.
P-marking means that the product has been type-tested, and its parts, in combination, have undergone rigorous quality controls conducted by an independent party, in this case, the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute, SP. The P-marking control for conservatories includes safety, water tightness, air tightness, and energy performance, promising the highest quality, functionality, and security for the buyer.
From vision to reality
Together with a team and designer from Skånska Byggvaror, we at Tojos have designed and developed six different tools for injection molding the various plastic components. These components are made in three different materials due to their different properties and uses in the conservatory doors.
In addition to injection molding these products, Tojos also assembles so-called rail brushes on a couple of products, which are then packed in separate batch bags. Other products are automatically packed with the help of robots that are customized and programmed to ensure the correct number of products are packed in batch bags directly after leaving the injection molding machine.
