PolyJet technology is suitable for model design and 3D prototyping. There are many different materials to choose from, ranging from soft rubber to hard plastic. In addition, an outstanding feature of PolyJet is the ability to 3D print more than 360,000 colour combinations. 

Possibility of two-component (2K) prints (soft and hard in combination)

The PolyJet method provides the possibility of 2K prints (soft and hard in combination), each component being of soft or hard material, respectively. Among the soft materials, we offer hardnesses from 27° up to 95° Shore A. PolyJet can manufacture parts in absolutely any colour.
If you are in need of watertight parts, such as seals, bearings, jigs, etc., then PolyJet is the technology for you.

Technical data

PolyJet technology makes it possible to manufacture items in a wide range of different materials. It is even possible to combine different materials in the same product – something unique to this technology. In addition, you can print more than 360,000 colour combinations with PolyJet. You can of course also obtain a transparent part using this method.

The technology involves curing an acrylic-based liquid layer-by-layer under a UV light. It is a speedy technology, and with this method you can build models in anything from soft rubber to hard plastic. You obtain a good level of detail, making the technology ideal for e.g. prototypes. Because you can in fact use different materials in the same print-run with this method, you can produce items with different properties but still of the same product.

The maximum dimensions for printed parts are 390 mm x 490 mm x 200 mm.

Guidelines

  • Limited strength.
  • Soft materials have low tear resistance.
  • Aged by UV light.
  • In the case of multi-coloured models, each colour should have its own shell in the CAD model.
  • In the case of models made from different materials, each material should have its own shell in the CAD model.
