PUR vacuum casting is advantageous where small series production of plastic parts is required. It does not take long to make the dies, and the parts come out entirely free of pores, making them extremely strong. The method does not require much post-processing, and the parts are like thermoplastics in their properties, e.g. hard, soft, heat-resistant or transparent. The parts can be dyed whatever colour the customer requires.
