In connection with the Elmia Polymer fair, we invited our customers to an open house on our site in Jönköping. We had a great morning full of exciting meetings, a good breakfast and a tour of the factory. In addition, Joakim Weidesheim, CEO of Polymercentrum, c gave a lecture on the Polymertekniska Institutet – Scandinavia’s new center for a sustainable production in polymer materials.
Polymertekniska Institutet provides faster paths to the materials and working methods of the future, and is an independent institute that wants to strengthen the position of polymeric materials. They also offer a test and competence center with a project-oriented organization.
The ambition with the institute is clear. Joakim Weidesheim says:
“We are creating a center that with small funds should be able to achieve great results from the beginning. In the future, the center will help the entire food chain from raw material producer via manufacturer and end consumer to create a chain that has sustainability in focus and provides a smaller climate footprint. ”
