Prototal Industries, Europe’s largest producer of components in 3D-printing, vacuum casting, and injection moulding, continues to expand in manufacturing of polymer products.

Through the acquisition of the Swedish company Addema AB, Prototal further strengthen its capacity in additive manufacturing for both serial production and prototypes.

Today, Prototal Industries announced the acquisition of the Swedish company Addema AB. Addema, based in Jönköping, is a global supplier of components that are produced using additive manufacturing. The company was founded in 2014 and production takes place in brand new premises, where quality, development and customer focus are key to their operations. Addema supply their customers with SLS and SLA parts in many different materials and with the highest quality.

Samuel Löfstrand and Claes Sjödahl are the founders of Addema and both of them will continue to work within the group in similar roles as they have today.

“Prototal continues to grow, and we are extremely proud and happy that Addema want to join us on our journey. The acquisition strengthens our previously combined capacity and will be a natural part of our business. Both the founders Claes and Samuel has extensive experience in additive manufacturing. We are absolutely convinced that Addema will fit perfectly into the Prototal Group”, says Jan Löfving, CEO of Prototal Industries, and adds:

“As a growing company, determined to consolidate its position as the market leader in Europe, it is always important to gain more experience and knowledge. The acquisition of Addema will help us on that journey.”

As part of the Prototal group, Addema’s customers will now have access to Prototal’s entire portfolio of technologies and materials.

It feels great to be a part of the Prototal Group. Prototal as the owner of Addema will provide our customers with a much broader product and technology platform. In addition, it will also result in an increased level of service in terms of capacity, competence, and delivery”, says Claes Sjödahl.
