Vapour Smoothing is one of the most ground-breaking and effective finishing methods of the past decade.

Recent advances in the technologies available to the market have resulted in surface finishes on AM parts which rival that of injection moulded components – something previously unobtainable using 3D printing.

This is ideal for companies or individuals looking to replicate injection moulded parts at relatively low volumes, without having to pay large sums for tooling. It can also be an excellent alternative to gloss paint, where time and cost reduction are paramount.


Support Removal & Sanding Assembly

Some technologies require supporting structures during the print process. These structures needs to be removed and specifically for FDM and SLA sanded before the parts are ready for the next step.

Consider this:
Support removal and sanding is a standard finish, but you can choose to receive the 3D printed component raw.

Assembly

3D printers can produce components in almost all shapes and sizes, but sometimes parts are too big to be printed in one piece. Luckily we have a lot of specialist whom, with precision, can glue parts together and make it seems as it has never been anything else than one piece. 

Our specialist are using filler parts and fine grain sandpaper to carefully smooth out the assembly points.

Consider this:
Assembly for prototypes and full production.

Primer, painting, lacquering & coating

Not only will a primer and paintjob replace a barebone color and make your parts look better, it can also increase its lifespan by protecting the polymer from damaging UV light (if you choose UV protective paints). We offer a selected range of RAL colors and accommodate most colores that our customers request.

If you want to make a finishing touch on your parts, we also offer to lacquer or clear lacquer your parts. Do you want the parts to be more resistant from wear and other materials such as moist and dust, then we are offering different to coats.

Consider this:
Primer, painting, lacquering and coating will add to the dimensions of your 3D printed component.

Coloring

If your parts need to be colored into the material, we offer a coloring process that intrudes the material which makes your parts less proun to visible scratches. The coloring process are beneficial if you want to retain the excact dimension of a colored parts.

We offer a wide range of  RAL colors and even specific colors on your request.

Consider this:
There will be a slight deviation in color of each batch.

Metalplating

If you are making prototypes of parts that, in it’s final form, needs to be made in metal, then give your prototype a metalplating treatment that make them seem like they are the real deal.

Metalplating is not only for astectics, as it can be used to shield electricity or even block radio waves.

Consider this:
If you want a glossy finish, make sure that your part is printed with SLA technology.

Vapor smoothing

Depending on the 3D printing technology, the surface texture of your parts will have a similar feeling of a sugar cube straight from the printer.

With a vapor smoothing process, the surface material are melted and redistributed with vapor. The process evens out the surface and seals tiny cavities making it water resistant, reducing friction, makes it shinier and even makes the parts stronger overall.

Consider this:
Although the process makes the part more shooth and shiny, there can be visible striations compared to a injection moulded part.

Vibration smoothing

Depending on the 3D printing technology, the surface texture of your parts will have a similar feeling of a sugar cube, straight from the printer.

You can choose to smooth out the surface, by processing the part in a machine full of water and finegrained stones which levels out the surface.

Consider this:
There is a minimum requirement for thickness of the parts as there will be a risk of it breaking in the process.

Threaded & non-threaded inserts

We can press, drill and melt inserts securely to provide strong, reusable, permanent threaded or non-threaded inserts in your parts. Specific inserts can be used as the request of the customer.

Consider this:
Depening on the 3D printing material, resistance in regards to pull-out and 
torque-out may vary.
